Business Profile

Portfolio of Renewable Energy

Seymour and Castle’s commitment to continued development of the company has led to a new area of work in the Solar Photo-voltaic System installation market. The company has gained full MCS Accreditation for installing Solar PV Systems, and is also a full member of the REAL Assurance Scheme for Renewable Energy.

Due to this, there has been a new division and brand of Seymour and Castle created, called “Scenergy”, which will carry out all works associated with the Solar PV technology. A system has already been installed at our site on Tattershall Way in Louth, which is available for customers to view in operation.

Seymour and Castle have joined forces with Jetion Solar Europe to promote Jettion's products in the UK.  Together Jetion and Seymour & Castle have been successful in their application to join the YPO Pro 5 National Framework Agreement for the provision of Solar Photovoltaic technology systems to the public sector.

Since the Feed-In Tariff was introduced in April 2010 the interest in Solar PV across the UK has soared, leading to the uncertainty of recent events and the controversy regarding DECC's recent changes to the FiT.  Notwithstanding this, the company expects that it will be able to continue to provide an increasing number of professional and quality Solar PV installations to this market.
