    Due to the recent success of Seymour and Castles young apprentice, Jonathan Willson, winning several awards as Electrical Apprentice of the Year, the Electrical Times have published a feature article about Seymour and Castle in its May edition.  The feature focuses on the investment in training of apprentices, something that the directors of Seymour and Castle believe is the key to the future success of the business to keep it moving and growing with fresh ideas and training.

  • CHAS accreditation renewed
    21st May 2010

    Seymour and Castle have successfully renewed their CHAS accreditation for another year.  This ensures that we have the correct procedures in place with regard to Health and Safety and training matters.  It is a primary requirement for all of our major contractor clients, including local authorities, health trusts, educational authorities and other public sector employers.

    Seymour and Castle are happy that, despite recent setbacks within the building industry due to the current recession, they have been awarded the following contracts:-

    Interserve - Rebuild of Melior College, Scunthorpe

    Baggley Jenkins -  Refurbishment of ground floor office complex at Spire Walk Business Park, Chesterfield, for Lincolnshire NHS Shared Services

    Lincoln University - CCTV and door access systems to the Engine Shed Theatre

    Whartons Agriculture - Extension to corn drying facility at Authorpe near Louth

    Bentalls of Scunthorpe - Design and Build of control panel for export to Ethiopia

    Mouchel - Upgrade of lighting for Toynton All Saints School

    Trent Valley Construction - Design and Build of new village hall facility, The Hub Bassingham and New Cadet Centre at Robert Pattinson School in North Hykeham

    Derry Mechanical - Design and build of 6 new Football Pavilions for Leicester City Council

     


  • More success for Seymour and Castle Apprentices

    Following on from the recent success of Jonathan, congratulations go out to Simon Heard for his success in passing his AM2 exam at the first attempt.  Simon now needs to complete his apprenticeship portfolio to gain fully qualified electrician status.   Well done Simon.   


  • NATIONAL APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR 2009 AWARD

    Jonathan Willson being presented with his trophyAfter winning the electrical industry Regional Apprentice of the Year 2009 for the East Midlands region, Jonathan Willson was last night crowned JTL National Apprentice of the Year in an award ceremony in London.  At the presentation he was accompanied by his girlfriend, proud parents, the three Seymour and Castle company directors and host JTL East Midlands region representatives, none of them knowing but not surprised that he was announced the National winner.

    An elated Jonathan was given his award along with a cheque for £1500.  A delighted spokesman for Seymour and Castle said "Its absolutely fantastic!"

    Congratulations go out to Jonathan for the best achievement yet in his list of awards.
